wtf is a “NICE hook?”
this guy is a complete idiot.
hahaha this is so wrong. rolling your third accumulator early will cause MAJOR problems
this guy does not have a clue what he is talking about.’turn your shank into a nice hook’. !!
This guy loves to talk and then hit four balls in a row… all his videos the same… And about the SHANK I remember you that Claude Harmon, Butch’s father, said that the shanks are caused because of a closed clubface at impact… just read “The Pro” by Butch Harmon, pages 82/83
Haha, to all of it
Gosh…and there was me thinking that a shank was caused by a lack of awareness of where the club face is at impact!!!
Again for your sanity, dont listen.
this guy doesnt know what he is talking about at all
dont follow this guy’s advice. instead turn the sound off and look at his feet. his weight is evenly balanced. the shank is either caused by one having too much weight on the balls of their feet during the downswing thus moving the shaft more forward at impact than it was at address, or by not making a full shoulder turn (or both). to fix the problem think about keeping weight on your heels and rotating your front shoulder past where your sternum was at address. then take your downswing. Fixed!
I can agree with most of the comments posted here…if you just want a “band-aid” solution to the shanks (even the video band-aid). But, all of these are just one more swing thought that you don’t need when you are trying to make good contact with the pill. Honestly, you cannot have more than one swing thought in your mind in order to really “Groove” your swing. Try not to try so hard the next time this happens, and you won’t have to change a thing about your swing.
This guy is crazy
“turn the club, turn it, turn it…”
XD
it also depends on your grip if your right hand is turned over too much it will force the club face to open at impact
i play to about a 10 handicap and i got them out of the blue like you did a few months ago. what my teacher told me is i’m leaning forward too much and my weight is on my toes. if i keep my weight on my heels throughout my swing i never shank it. he had me hit balls with a golf ball underneath my left foot to get the feeling of staying back on my heels. what this guy is saying is not really correct.
i never shanked before and had great iron shots playing off a handicap of 13 and then one day, just like that, i began to shank and once i did i could not stop, and now all i do is shank. i am going to the driving range right now to try the things you said to do and to see if that works. many thanks for your online golf lessons.
That guy must have a pretty bad thats why he cant compete and have to do shitty hooking 101lessons for the INTRANET. SPIN THE GLOBE WITH THE PUTTER TOO????
It’s not usually about this. Fixing shank always starts with the shoulder turn
yea great fix your shank and then start hitting it off the planet to the left..Get off your toes and ballance your stance to move your hands away from the ball a little.
I know such crap. Fix a problem with another problem? WTH??
absolutly a bad tip. shank happens most of the time from coming over the top or bring the right side around
yay now you get to hit a hook…… Bad tip. Its all in the hands. Fix the way your hands are on the club. Don’t think about flipping your wrists, thats how you start getting in the habit of hitting hard hooks
