Golf Tips Magazine-Coil for Power

pretty sure the one your thinking about is a transexual
You’re missing a category.
Steroid Freak’s should also be included.
It irritates me that steroid use has now finally found its way to golf. Even though they test, its blatantly obvious that one can skillfully avoid it.
I cant recall the name of a lady long driver who honestly looked like a chick from a bodybuilder magazine. She looked about 1% feminine.
Steroids are now as common in the LDA as MMA. Pretty soon, Brock Lesner type “golfers” will emerge. And they will pass all the tests.
Before anyone says anything about club head speed, know that it doesnt matter for my argument.
Club head speed on a 9 will be considerably less than a driver. However, the player IS actually swinging “harder” with the short clubs on the PGA.
Professional: Longer club, softer swing.
Amateur: Longer club, hardest swing.
Lets not forget that PGA players swing less on the longer clubs especially their driver.
This is why a 9 iron carries 165, and a driver carries 265 with a pro. Of course the driver will roll more…
Notice how there is only about a 150 yard difference between a 9 and a driver (assuming the driver rolls to 300).
Indeed, I can agree that there are two categories of Longdrivers; Pure Drivers, and Playing Drivers – but both need to be able to hit the ball consistently. If you can give 100% in LD competition, and give 85% in golf and still drive 320 yds – you are more often that not i a good attack position. But still, you need to putt it into the hole – and that’s another story
He’s about a scratch golfer.
Yeah , this dude might be able to hit it far, but I wonder what his score would be on a course… Accuracy counts there…..bad tips for people who play “Golf”
I would like to comment on your clearly moronic shit! first off I have had the pleasure of meeting and playing multiple rounds with fellow Canadian Jason Zuback and for your own knowledge he has a 2 handicap! enough said!! yes he hits the ball a long way and has a full swing but how times have you seen Tiger swing with a 9 iron like he does with his driver? go learn to play the game. thanks!
hey one of most important keys for these guys to hit 350+ yard is to HIT THE BALL AT THE CENTER OF THE CLUBFACE…and you call this swing a mess?
hey genius, you are incredibly stupid! Most track and field Olympians represent their country in only ONE event!
Take a look at the bio’s of the guys that are finishing high at the World LD Championships. Most of these guys are scratch players. You really need to do your homework!!!
Your point about the javelin, discus, shot-put, hammer-throw etc is well taken. Long drive is exactly like each of these events. Trump; no Olympic committee from any country in the world would allow an athlete who can ONLY throw the discus to represent their nation in track and field. In fact, I don’t think you’re allowed to ONLY compete in ONE of them. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing LD added to the track and field event list, as long as the LDers had to compete in the rest of those events.
Of course all of the above should be considered sports. Your triathlon analogy is not entirely lucid because each of those sports has its own event which doesn’t involve the other two. A better analogy could alone come from your example of swimming: I would say that a swimmer who can only do the breaststroke and has absolutely no ability to freestyle, butterfly, or backstroke would be similar to a long-driver. Missing a vast majority of the fundamentals in any sport is simply bad form.
Ok, last comment, would you consider cycling, running or swimming, a non-sport just because all 3 are preformed in a triathlon, no of course you would’nt, most consider a sport a “sport” if it is competitive and involves physical exertion, which lding certainly involves, lastly, distance sports have been preformed for as long as sport has existed, just watch the olympics.
If Rory Sabatini is the only name you can produce (and I think it probably is), then I suggest you quit while you’re ahead. Besides, Sabatini has amazing touch around the greens, and that definitely doesn’t come from practicing driving. By the way, I’m a very accurate free-throw shooter, but I can’t dribble. Maybe I should try out for the Lakers! Oh wait, that won’t work! Why don’t I just call free-throw shooting a sport? Problem solved!
people like you make me wonder why i ever log in, train and practice long drive or even golf for that matter and then tell me they are’nt sports, one more thing, Rory Sabatini spent some time on the ld circuit in the past and i hear he can play golf.
Again, long driving is not a sport. The game of golf is barely a sport. I only consider it to be a sport because there is a good deal of walking involved. As far as driving the ball a long way, I average about 275 with nice smooth tempo. I can work the ball confidently and I can hit driver off the deck one-handed (right or left). I’ve worked very hard for over twelve years to get where I am now. Watch Clemshaw’s videos if you want some real advice.
how about you stop commenting on a sport you obviously have zero knowledge of, what gives you the right to tell lies about long drive, the vast majority of lders are above average players, idiot.
Forgive me, I guess I wasn’t clear in stating that “long drive” is neither a game nor a sport. It is an activity that is taken up by men on steroids and/or failed golfers. The full swing in this video cannot work except off the tee. Unless one is interested in quitting the wonderful game of golf and becoming a totally one dimensional player, I suggest everyone develops a sound, repeatable golf swing that will work in every situation on the course. BTW, Tiger wouldn’t agree with this guy.
Yeah I doubt the guy who has won the Remax World Long Drive Championship 5 times has anything worthwhile to say about distance. He’s not giving a short game clinic, he’s giving good advice on how to hit the ball farther and straighter.
Don’t take any tips from this bozo. His swing is a mess and I doubt he’s capable of hitting a ball off the turf, let alone play the actual game. Besides, long driving is for guys with small dingalings.
